Materials

Resin is isophthalic unsaturated polyester type conforming to JIS K6919 or BS3532.

 

Sheet Moulding Compound (SMC) is produced by Bridgestone REI Komposit Sdn Bhd, an ISO14000 certified sister company of Potaglas manufacturer.

 

Glass Fibre is non-alkali glass cloth, chopped glass roving & continuous strand mat conforming to JIS R3411-3417 or BS3749 as stipulated in SS245:1995.

 

Manufacturing Process

Hot Pressed Sheet Moulding Compound (SMC) technology.

Moulding set by Bridgestone Japan.

Tank Cover

Moulded homogeneous SMC cover panel support by PVC pipes complete with one 600mm diameter manhole for each compartment with lockable lid and hinge.

 

Ladder

External ladder – Hot Dipped Galvanised Steel

Internal ladder – uPVC (up to 2.5m height tank) or SS304 (3-4m height tank)

 

Water Level Indicator

Clear Plastic Tube Sight Glass with backing plate or Reverse Ball Float.

 

Skid Base

Hot Dipped Galvanised steel of "C" channel or I-beam skid base.

 

 

Potaglas FRP Tank is tested at TUV-PSB facilities in Singapore to meet and exceed SS245:1995 specification.

 

What is tested is what you will get. We do not specially manufacture a "better than off-the-mill" test panel just to pass the 6 times hydrostatic pressure test for 4m height of water stored.

 

We promise you the same panel thickness and quality. Client's special requirements can also be considered.
