Hot rolled steel plate conforming to BS4360 grade 43A, BS1449 material HR or ISO equivalents.
Hot rolled SS304 and SS316 (no. 1 finishing) is also available.

Hydraulically Pressed.

1220mm x 1220mm or 1000mm x 1000mm
Support For Panels
Internal Stays, Cleats and Pads for connection = Hot rolled steel conforming to BS4360 grade 43A, BS1449 material HR 14 or ISO equivalent.
Sealing Materials
Colex© High Performance Tape Sealant or Non-toxic bitumen tar.
Tank Cover
Manufactured to conform to BS449.
Ladder
External ladder – Hot Dipped Galvanised Steel
Internal ladder – Hot Dipped Galvanised Steel
Water Level Indicator
Clear Plastic Tube Sight Glass with backing plate or Reverse Ball Float.
Skid Base
Hot Dipped Galvanised steel of "C" channel or I-beam skid base subject to manufacturer's design.
Finishes
Hot Dipped Galvanised to BS729 for hot rolled steel plates. No further painting. Black bituminous finishing without hot dip galvanising is also available.
Natural Stainless Steel finishing for SS304 or SS316 steel plates.
Standard Supply:
For 1000mm x 1000m metric tanks, we use the following thickness:
Bottom Tier (Base panel) = 5mm
1st Wall Tier = 5mm
2nd Wall Tier = 5mm
3rd Wall Tier = 5mm
4th Wall Tier = 5mm
Roof Panels = 2mm
For 1220mm x 1220mm imperial tanks, we use the following thickness:
Bottom Tier (Base panel) = 5mm (6mm for 4880mm height tanks)
1st Wall Tier = 5mm
2nd Wall Tier = 5mm
3rd Wall Tier = 5mm
4th Wall Tier = 5mm
Roof Panels = 2mm
Our steel plate nominal thickness is measured BEFORE galvanising.
We do not use 4.7mm (nominal) steel plates, galvanise it and pass it off to our clients as 5mm plates without their knowledge.
